Database ADK

Valentina Database ADK (application developer kit) is a developer product that allows developers to build and deploy data-driven applications that include fast and efficient local database storage using Valentina DB.

 

How Valentina Database ADK Licensing Works

  • Licensing is based on the operating system version of the local storage runtime. For desktop environments, that includes 32 and 64 bit versions of an operating system: Windows, Linux or Mac OS X.
  • Licensing is based on the native DB Connector and its operating system. The .NET and C++ DB Connectors are different technologies.

Valentina DB ADK for .NET is a single license that runs on 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows. Valentina DB ADK for C++ for Mac OS X and Valentina DB ADK Objective-C both run on 32 and 64 bit Mac OS X, but they are two different Valentina DB ADK products.

DB ADK Licensing

Database ADKs are licensed based on your development system or programming language and target operating system. Versions are available for every major development package on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, and also iOS. Database ADKs include two parts:

  • Royalty Free VClient Connector
  • Local Database System

The VClient Connector communicates with local and remote database systems. This part of Database ADK is licensed for free for use with Database ADK or Valentina Server.

Server-only VClient Connectors for PHP and Ruby on Rails are available as a part of Valentina Server.
