We have made a couple of benches of our new SQL DIFF feature of Valentina Studio Pro v5.0 Results are quite impressive.
1. Valentina DB with the following parameters:
- Tables – 211
- Indexes – 1273
- Links – 1013
- Views – 348
- Triggers – 720
- Procedures – 420
- Types – 0
- Sequences – 0
1.1 Compare db to self – 19.3 sec
1.2 Compare db to empty db – 78.0 sec
2. Postgre SQL database with the following parameters:
- Tables – 21
- Indexes – 29
- Links – 40
- Views – 7
- Triggers – 15
- Procedures – 9
- Types – 1
- Sequences – 13
2.1 Compare db to self VStudio: 2.4 sec Navicat: 65 sec
2.2 Compare db to empty db VStudio: 3.2 sec Navicat: 37 sec
Resume:
- so VStudio did SQL DIFF faster of Navicat in x10 – x30 times for small db.
- For the first db, which is x40 times bigger you can self try interpolate time for Navicat.
